I had a half knee replacement in April 2023. The whole team worked efficiently, respectfully and listened well, providing whatever information I needed. Communication was good, and responsive from reception, to secretary, nurses, physios and of course including Mr Chowdhry. My recovery was quick and physio sessions were friendly and well run.
All staff seemed relaxed, with time to talk when needed, and efficient including anaesthetist and recovery team.
Experience has meant I no longer fear having the other knee done.
( just want same experience to be available to all, no matter where !)
Thank you
I was recently a patient at the Nuffield hospital and it was excellent. From the ladies who greet you at reception to the surgeon who performed my operation, they were all delightful, professional and kind. The hospital accommodation is comfortable and the food delicious. I would not hesitate to return to the Nuffield should I need another operation.
My consultant was excellent but this Hospital isn't great. I needed urgent Cancer scans doing and the attitude of the staff was its Christmas and we are going on holiday. No-one offered help, suggested ways to get the scans done and no-one called me back after they said they would. In the end I had to manage my own scans by going to a different hospital. This is like a glorified hotel with doctors wheeled in to do consultations. Real customer service is very pppor. The only thing they are hot on is taking a scan of your credit card and sending out invoices. I would not use this hospital again,
I came in in acute back pain. All the staff from reception, scan dept, phlebotomy, ward staff, cleaners, catering staff and surgeon and physio were very professional, friendly, helpful, supportive and empathic.
With regards to the ward, all areas were very clean and the view was amazing. Food wise I recommend the egg sandwiches and jelly! Loved seeing the kestrel in its box too.
I loved my return greeting, pain-free, I was recognised with smiles
I saw Mr. Phadnis in the Montefiore Hospital which was first class but had mu surgery in the Nuffield Hospital, both were absolutely brilliant!
This hospital was not my first choice as it is some distance from my home but my consultant was not able to perform the operation elsewhere. However, I am so pleased that I was persuaded to go to Brighton Nuffield.
Every member of staff in the hospital was welcoming and reassuring. A warm welcome at reception through to wonderful care from all the nurses on the ward. The ladies serving the excellent food deserve a special mention as they brightened the day with their cheery smiles and chat. My room had the most wonderful view of the sea - perfect for raising your spirits.
I would not hesitate to use this hospital again should the need arise.
The Brighton Nuffield hospital was well staffed who looked after me very well.
The nurses involved in my care were very kind and understanding, and all involved in the surgery had a good approach, explained everything carefully.
Would recommend wholeheartedly
